The Jobs Page provides timely access to jobs in Sierra Leone or jobs aimed at Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora. The main aim of this service is to address the skills gap in Sierra Leone by increasing the awareness of the Sierra Leonean Diaspora of the job vacancies in Sierra Leone, with the aim of enhancing local capacity.
The Project announcements page provides a space for posting information on different projects in Sierra Leone, or projects which are led by Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora. These announcements are arranged according to date.
On 9th May 2009, SLDN hosted a meeting for Sierra Leone health professionals based in the UK, bringing together nurses, medical doctors, mental health experts, pharmacists and midwives. The forum highlighted not only the current needs and challenges, but also showcased the incredible work being done across Sierra Leone by Diaspora organisations.
A Health Committee has been formed, and based on the current needs on the ground, will support development in Water and Sanitation, Maternal and Child Healthcare and Mental Health, with Capacity Building serving as a cross-cutting theme. Task Forces have been formed to lead on each of these areas.

Sierra Leone has for the first time attained a credible ranking in the recently released World Bank Report on 'Doing Business 2008'. Sierra Leone ranked at 168 out of 175 in the 'Ease of Doing Business' category. This result is the culmination of months of hard work from the MTI, its former Minister Kadie Sesay and other non-governmental agencies, most noteably DFID.
